Daughter of Joseph Heesom and Sarah Verity, Sarah Anne was baptized 27 Mar 1836 in Sandal Magna parish, Yorkshire [West Riding]. She first married Samuel P. Heesom 08 Feb 1857, Will Co., IL. They were the parents of two known children: Emma Adelia "Della" and Charles R. Bartrum.
After her first husband's death, Sarah married second Ebenezer Williams 11 Apr 1866, also in Will County. They were the parents of one known son: Grant H. Williams.

Mrs. S. Williams Passes to Rest
Mrs. Sarah Williams died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Ira Cribb, on Sunday morning at 10 o'clock. The deceased was about 75 years of age and succumbed after a week's illness. She is survived by two sons, Grant Williams and Charles Bartrum, and a daughter, Mrs. Delia [sic, Della] Cribb. Two sisters, Mrs. Elmira [sic, Emma] Van Horn and Mrs. Mary Whitley also survive. The latter, however, is lying at the point of death at her home in Englewood and Mrs. Williams had just left her bedside and arrived home the day before she was taken ill. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the M. E. Church. Rev. B. A. Dickens officiated.
Note: Mary Whitley, mentioned above, died in Chicago, 4 Dec 1908, and another sister, Harriet E. "Hattie" Heesom, wife of George H. Platt, passed away 11 Aug 1891. Both also are buried in Plainfield Cemetery.
