Augusta Adelphia Warner, wife of George Edmiston, died at the family home near Newmansville, PA, Thursday, December 6, 1917, after an illness of two years with dropsy, the past six months of which she had been confined to her bed, a great but very patient sufferer. She was born June 11, 1852, and her entire married life had been spent in the community in which she died. Mrs. Edmiston was a woman who possessed all the graces of a true Christain, and during her whole life, she was held in the highest esteem of all who knew her and the number of her friends limited only by the circle of her acquaintances. For more than thirty years, she has been a loyal, devoted member of the Free Methodist Church, being active in Christain work while health and strength permitted, and in her passing the church and community has sustained a great loss.
Besides her husband, she is survived by these children: Guy W. Edmiston and Mrs. Charles Irwin of Mayburg, Mrs. Orlando Claypool of Hastings, Webster Edmiston and Mrs. William Hopkins of Kellettville, and Lester Edmiston at home.
Funeral services in memory of the deceased were conducted in the Wolfs Corners School House by her pastor, Rev. L.S. Hoover, Saturday morning last at 10 o'clock, with interment at Wolfs Corners.
