He was pre-deceased by 3 sisters, Mary Sandberg, Laura McDonald and Alice Spellman.

Charlie was born deaf, but like his father, that did not keep him from living a full life. He attended the School for the Deaf in Hartford, Ct. until his father died, he then had to leave school to help support his mother.

He was employed at John Adams Tool & Die Maker, and Norton Co. in Worcester, Ma. He had also worked at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, East Harford, Ct., he was a skilled carpenter.

He was very active in efforts for the deaf and was a former member of the Worcester, Ma. Deaf Club and a Life Member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Post 1861 in Bennington, Vt. He was past chairman of the Southwestern Association for the Deaf.

He was active in Boy Scouts for 15 yrs.

He enjoyed watching space and science shows.

He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and traveling. His family and grandchildren were his main interest.
He is sadly missed by all his family and many friends.
