Rita enjoyed baby-sitting for many of her family members. She was a member of Nativity Parish and was active in many parish activities. Her fiance, Robert "Bob" Link was the love of her life. Rita was happiest around her family.
Rita was survived by a daughter, Johanna (Scott) Schuessler, two sons, Joseph (fiancee, Angela Gregorich) Ambrosy, and Johnie (special friend, Natolie Hochhausen) Ambrosy. Rita was also survived by four sisters, Mary (Charlie) Johnson, Ellen (Dave) Willis, Sheila (Larry) Blatz, and Ann (Jack) Ginter; five brothers, Jerry (Bea) Payne, Bill (Karen) Payne, Ray (Colleen) Payne, Jack (Betty) Payne, and Tim (Myra) Payne; nieces and nephews; and her former husband, Kenneth Ambrosy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Helen Payne.
Rita and Bob both died near Weirsdale, Florida as a result of injuries they sustained in a motorcycle accident on the evening of November 30, 2003.
