Mrs. Anderson is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Sterling & Beverly Anderson, Berwick, Henry & Gretchen Anderson of Webster City, Franklin & Sue Anderson of Colgate, WI, LaVonne Anderson of Weslaco, Texas; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Lindquist of Webster City, Elaine & Ron Olson of Anchorage, Alaska; 31 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; several gr-gr-grandchildren; sister-in-law Wilma Koop Hecht of Jewell; several nieces and hephews.
In addition to her husband, she was prececed in death by son, LeRoy Anderson; daughters, Irene Stubbs, Norma Beehrle and Vera Whiteley; brothers, Bill and Hans Koop; sisters, Harmke Mortenson, Rickie Klaver, Bertha Sanderson, Jennie Greenley, and Minnie Templer.
Katie was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and served with Lydia Circle and quilt groups. She attended Congregate Meals and the Webster City Senior Citizens Club. She enjoyed sewing, entertaining and cooking for her family and friends. She made many quilts and afghans which she gave to members of her family throughout the years. She loved to travel and had enjoyed trips to Spain, Liberia, Alaska, Hawaii and many others places in the U.S. In 1984, she wrote a book called "The Life and Times of Henry and Katie Anderson", which can be found at Kendall Young Library. She had written many documents of her life and her family. While the couple farmed, she was a member of the Farm Bureau and the Neighborhood Club. Katie had a fulfilling and rewarding life and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
