Dillimus Monroe Hill was one of nine children born to Robert Allen Hill and Penelope Jane Goff Hill. Many records say Dill was born in 1874 but his funeral card states that he was born in 1872. He was the father of nine children as well. I rememember visiting him and he was really old then. He was sitting in a chair with a gas heater turned up real high with an afghan blanket over his legs. It was so hot in the house that you could barely breathe.
