|Death: ||Mar. 29, 1818|
Michael Barndollar lived in the vicinity of Philadelphia at the time of the revolutionary war, and afterward moved to Frederick county, Maryland. In 1787 he came to Bedford county and purchased a tract of land, including the site of Everett borough. He settled on the west side of Bloody Run and began keeping hotel. In 1800 he sold to Samuel Tate, of Shippensburg, all that portion of the tract lying west of Bloody Run, including his tavern and improvements, and removed to the eastern side of the stream. In 1802 he erected the stone building--still standing and now a part of the Union Hotel--where he lived and kept store and tavern. He died in 1818, at the age of seventy-eight. His sons were Peter, Daniel, Jacob and Michael, all of whom lived and died in this county, except Michael, who died in Fulton county.

After much research I believe the son Daniel died in Westmoreland County and is buried there with his second wife. More research is needed. I have visited this grave site many times, her grave is readable but the one next to hers is not.
