7th child of Josephine and John Fisher. Erastus taught school for 13 years at Syracuse and Clinton Schools. After teaching school about for $30/month, he farmed. He loved baseball and other sports. With the help of his brother John, gave West Point its name. (Being the furthest point West in Davis County.)Erastus married Maragret Elvina Major on November 1,1893. He served in several callings in the LDS Church. "Rass", as he was known, served as president of the West Point Ditch Association. He built a home on 300 North road. He donated part of his farm that became the West Point Cemetary for Arther Manning who died while serving as a missionary.
Poor health in 1930 caused him to slow down and he died in 1931. He was an honest man and noble worker. A good singer, he sang in the ward choir. At the time of his death he was serving as a high councilor in the LDS Church.
