I got a wonderful puppy when I was 8 years old and Cookie turned out to be the sweetest dog you could possibly imagine.
Tennis balls and Milk Bones were the greatest things in the world and the elusive squirrel was her sworn enemy!! Intelligent, energetic and happy beyond belief, she was my constant companion and hiking buddy until she could no longer keep up with me. Growing up with her by my side was like a Disney movie, every boy's dream dog. We hiked together along streams and through the woods and she loved every minute of it.
Cookie was a wonderful and faithful friend and always happy to see me. Nearly thirty years later I still think about Cookie every time I see a dog. I sure do miss her wet nose and that ever-wagging tail.
If anyone can breed a Sheltie and a Standard Poodle, let me know. I'd love to have another Cookie!
