GOSHEN -- Waneta F. Blosser, 84, of Greencroft Manor, formerly of 113 N. Wheatland St., died at 2:40 a.m. Tuesday (April 18, 2000) at Greencroft Terraces Nursing Center, where she had been a patient since November 1999.
She was born on Aug. 9, 1815, in Wakarusa, the daughter of Austin and Pearl (Stewart) Holdeman, and graduated from Goshen High School. On Sept. 3, 1938, she married Paul M. Blosser and he died July 5, 1977.
Mrs. Blosser is survived by eight sons, Ben, Joe, Steve and Sam, all of Goshen, Phil of Big Rapids, Mich., Jon of Nappanee, Tim of Indianapolis and Tom of Aliso Viejo, Calif.; two daughters, Bonnie Rowdabaugh of Millersburgh and Deb Bond of Elkhart; 25 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Glendora Miller and Mrs. Robert (Marilyn) Wenger, both of Goshen, and Mrs. Leo (Harriet) Brooks of Elkhart.
A son, David; three brothers, Ernest, Roscoe and Paul Holdeman; and two sisters, Augusta M. Van Diepenbos and Eloise Davis, are deceased.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home and one hour before the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Friday at New Paris Missionary Church. The Rev. Kevin Skaggs will officiate and burial will follow at Violett Cemetery.
Mrs. Blosser worked at the Brenneman Daycare Center, was a volunteer at missionary church youth camps and enjoyed working with ceramics. She was a member of New Paris Missionary Church.
Memorials may be given to the church of Trans World Radio.
