Mass of Resurrection for Conchita Augelli, 85, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Lawrence Catholic Campus Center.

Mrs. Augelli died Friday, March 18, 2005, in Lawrence.

She was born Dec. 7, 1919, in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Consuelo Quintana and Gerardo Garcia de la Noceda. She attended primary school in Yabucoa and graduated from University High in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Puerto Rico and a master's degree in Early Childhood Education from Kansas University. She lived in Cambridge, Mass., and the Washington, D.C., area. She moved to Lawrence in 1961.

Mrs. Augelli was a homemaker and served as coordinator for the International Programs of the Bureau of Child Research at KU from 1972 to 1990. She was an active parishioner of St. Lawrence Catholic Campus Center. She was a member of Countryside Garden Club and American Civil Liberties Union.

Survivors include two sons, John Augelli, Galveston, Texas, and Bob Augelli, Lawrence; two sisters, Luz Maria Muniz and Gloria Vidal, San Juan, Puerto Rico; and two granddaughters.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice Care in Douglas County or the Alzheimer's Assn., sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home in Lawrence.
