Maggie was another animal lover friend. She grew up on the St. Regis Mohawk Reservation in upstate New York. She never tired of her quest to help the animals. She would even give rabies shots to racoons. Always had a sense of humor and would do anything to help an animal or someone who needed help with a stray.
Margaret Louise "Maggie" Abbott, age 67, died January 29, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy. Daughter of the late Grover and Dorothy Stanley and born in Mass., Maggie has lived in Melrose, N.Y. for over 40 years.
