James L. Albertson
James Leslie Albertson, 90, of Ridgefield passed away at home Oct 17, 2010, surrounded by family.
He was born Jan. 29, 1920, in Iroquois County, Ill. to Emmit and Hazel (Felix) Albertson. The family moved to Washington in August 1924. He attended Cowlitz County schools.
James served in the Army during World War II with the 41st Division in the Pacific Theater. In his later years he lived in Clark County, where he was an active member of the Woodland Christian Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1927.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Glen; and a sister, Mary.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Margaret; two sons, Gale in Cedar Park, Texas and Mark in Burleson, Texas; two daughters, Linda Albertson of Modesto, Calif., and Diana Fike of Millcreek, Wash., three brothers, John in Dayton, Ore., Don in Yacolt, Wash., and Larry in Chehalis; two sisters, Rose Janke of Kelso and Ruth Johnson of Vancouver; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Woodland Christian Church.
Arrangements are by Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Vancouver.

( Jim had two marriages. His first was to Alsace (Spreadbrough on Sept 30, 1941. He had no children with the 1st marriage and after a divorce he married Margaret Ellen (Smith) Jan 29, 1948 in Vancouver, WA. Together they had four children.)
