Anastazija Banovic, 80, of Anchorage, Alaska passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home on September 9, 2014.
Born in Bosnia, Anastazija moved to Alaska with her family in 1997.

She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her daughter Tanja Nkolic and husband Predrag; grandchildren Tasa and Marko Nikolic; as well as sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews, members of the Gregus, Banovic, Blagojevic, and Powell family, and many friends.

Anastazija enjoyed spending time with her family and the family pets, gardening, taking walks, reading, cooking, baking, shopping, and any other activity that would allow her to spend time with her loved ones. She was a loving, caring, nurturing, strong woman and will be forever remembered and missed by those who have had the opportunity to know her.

A visitation will be held at Janssen's Evergreen Memorial Chapel, 737 E Street in Anchorage on Monday, September 15, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. with a service to follow at 1:00 p.m. She will then be laid to rest at Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements are with Janssen's Evergreen Memorial Chapel
