Wife of Anderson R. Harris who died May 5, 1863 in Monticello, Wayne County, Kentucky. He was a Private in the 11th Kentucky Cavalry, Company F. He served under General John Hunt Morgan as one of 'Morgan's Raiders.' Anna Horton Harris' obituary states that he was killed at the Battle of Greasy Creek which took place in Wayne County, KY. Anderson R. Harris had also served as a Corporal in the Mexican American War for Anna Horton Harris received a pension.
