Roland designed and had made the family plot monument. He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia Lee (Doll Hurst Hoffman); children, Kathryn, Kristine (Narovec), Thomas, Floriann, Melodie(Kernahan), and Roland John, Jr. Roland was preceded in death by his first loving wife, Florence Anna (Howard Cooke) and beloved son, Robert James, his parents John and Elizabeth (Marks) Heidenfelder.
Roland was the owner and CEO of Cooke Berger Embossing Company of Chicago, IL. A family owned and run business since it's founding by Roland's first wife Florence's Father, Edward SinClair Cooke.
Roland also served as a long time member of the Rotary Club, and the Chicago Catholic Club of Chicago, for which he was a past president.
