Daughter of James and Waity Brown. Married Robert Rathbun of West Greenwich, RI-- Nine Children: Nathan, Hannah, John A., George W., Mary Jane, William, Amanda, Jeremiah and James. Robert died 1874. Five sons (Nathan, John, George, William and Jeremiah) fought in the Civil War. Two died, one was severely wounded, one was captured.
