Funeral services will be held for Mr. Lap Khammany, 63, at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Fletcher Funeral Home with cremation to follow at Lafayette Crematory.
A native of Broussard, he passed at 11:50 a.m. Saturday at Lafayette Extended Care Hospital in Lafayette.
A gathering of family and friends will begin on Thursday from 6-8 p.m., Friday 6-8 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Opma Khammany, of Broussard; one son Velot Khammany Sr. of New Iberia; three daughters Somlith Rasasack of Arlington, Texas, Phasara Somsy of New Iberia and Vatsana Artis of Harlake, Miss.; two sisters Long Khammany of Khammonae, Laos, and Leungt Phimmanichan of Coteau; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
