'Neva Odessa Benningfield Huval Baker, 78, of Paris went to be with the Lord Friday, March 12, 2010 at 9:45am at Paris Regional Medical Center. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 pm Monday, March 15, 2010 in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Curtis Blake officiating. Interment will follow in the Hopewell Cemetery with Michael Smithey, Merroll Ray, Billy Newman, Steve Coker, Rodney Hocutt, and Chris Baker serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Smithey, Brock Towers, Kirk and Russell Winters, Tanner and Sheldon Baker, and Russell & Riley Coker. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm Sunday, March 14, at the funeral home.

She was born on November 22, 1931 in the Unity Community of Lamar County, the daughter of Sam Ezra Benningfield and Flora Garrison.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Russell Huval in 1965, and second husband Roscoe Baker in 1981, her parents, and brother, James Redus Benningfield.

Survivors include children Patricia Newman and husband Billy, Angela Huval, Kathy Coker and husband Steve, Laura Towers, Greg Baker and wife Angie, Marlene Hocutt and husband Rodney, grandchildren Michael, Mark, and Misti Smithey, Stacy Shehan, Tammy Dewberry, Brenna O'Nolan, Ashley Arrington, Amber Picota, Brock Towers, Russell and Riley Coker, Chris, Tanner, and Sheldon Baker, Erica Morris and Zackary Hocutt, and 19 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Martha Ray and Mary Winters.
