Services for William F. "Jack" Almon will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Griffin-Kennedy-Watts Chapel with the Revs. Jimmy Harness and Gary Almon officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Almon died May 1, 1996 in Norman Hospital. He was born April 3, 1921 at Purdon, Navarro County Texas, to William R. and Leona (Farmer) Almon.

Married to Carol Rutledge Sept. 24, 1949, at Gainesville, Texas. He was a retired electrician and member of Asbury Methodist Church. He served in the Army during World War II, was a membor of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association and VFW. He was also a volunteer at the Ardmore Military Museum.

Survivors include his wife, of the home, two daughters, LeeAnn Tande, Popular, Mont., and Barbara Jones, Ardmore; two brothers, Ray and Shorty, Ardmore; two sisters Ruby Self, Ardmore and Lola Owen, Utah; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Bears will be Dub Mauldin; Troy Seedig; Don Rose; Bill Russell; Mike Carter and Lou Lewellen, Honorary bearers are Harold Morris; Doug McBeth; Jim Carter and friends.
