William Kelley Carter, O.D., age 44, passed away suddenly on March 26, 2013. Dr. Carter was the former chief optometrist at the Henry Ford Hospital Main Campus in Detroit. Dr. Carter is a graduate of Michigan State University in 1990 and the Michigan College of Optometry in 1994. He has completed internships at both the Allen Park Veterans Hospital and Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. He is a member of the Psi Chi Honor Society and the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. Dr. Carter was an avid marathoner who has run numerous Boston Marathons. A giving person to everyone, he made his final gift to Gift of Life.
Beloved husband of Donna, loving father of Aidan, cherished son of William R. and Carol Ann; and dear brother of Marian (Scott) Moldenhauer, Penny Carter and Jane (Chris) Carter Weaver.
