Peceded in death by a brother: Odie Lloyd Whitworth in 1926, grandfather: Benjamin Franklin Hardiman in 1936, father: Joseph Lewis Whitworth in 1948 and grandmother: Clara Gertrude Hardiman Oyzort in 1975.
He was survived by wife: Mary Whitworth, children: Anita Elaine Day and Carla Beth Rabon and husband Mike, grandsons: Ashley Day, Kye Rabon and later a grandson Lee J., his mother: Sarah Lillie Whitworth, brothers: Artie Hansel Whitworth and wife Martha and Aaron Gomer Whitworth and wife Georgia. A sister: Emily Charlene Mills and husband Robert. Nephews: Gerald Whitworth and wife Pam, Russell Andrew and wife Penney, Marcus Whitworth and wife Donna, nieces: Claudia Reinfelds and husband Uldis, Becky Adams and husband Mike.
Joe was a teacher, teaching at several schools in Oklahoma, lastly teaching in Sauplpa for many years. Joe truly believed in education and worked very hard helping children achieve that goal.
Joe loved helping people in general. He loved life. He always had a project. He was an achiever himself, never slacking his duty at any time. He certainly believed in the "Golden Rule" as our dad had taught us from the beginning.
Joe was for certain one of the best sons, husbands, fathers, grandfathers, brothers or uncles anyone could ever have. He was there for us all any time he was needed.
He has certainly been missed.
