Balthasar, or "Bill," was the 6th of 14 children born to Alexander B. Brungardt and Catherine Windholz. Balthasar, also known as "Piggy Bill" according to "Die Herzoger," married Catherine Dome on Nov. 5, 1923. They had 2 daughters, Jo Anne and Patricia.
