Andrew Benjamin Burton, age 73, died Monday February 3, 2014 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland, FL.
He was the son of the late Lloyd Burton and the late Rosanna Burton. He was born in Lake Alfred, FL and graduated in 1962 from Jewett High School in Winter Haven, FL.
Upon graduating from high school, he moved to Bartow, FL with his parents and siblings. He was employed by U.S. Steel.
He is survived by three daughters; Betrina Hopkins-Muhammad (Roosevelt), Winter Haven, FL, Marietta Clark (Elvis), and Shelia Jenkins, Melbourne, FL; one son; Andrew B. Burton, Jr. (Connie); four cats; Garfield, Sugar, Poontang, and Susie all of Lakeland, FL; two sisters; Marilyn B. Burton, Roswell, GA, and Annie Lois Meade, Orlando, FL; twelve grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; aunts; Florence Taylor, Henrietta B. McGriff, Annie Bell Nealy, Vera Goodman, Lucille Burton, Grace Henderson; uncle: J.W. Goodman; special cousin; Alphonso "Boochie" Burton; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
