Funeral Tuesday For Mrs. Adkins
MEADOW BRIDGE (RNS) - Mrs. Bessie Nora Adkins, 84, died Saturday evening en route to a Hinton hospital after a long illness.
Born March 20, 1885, at Meadow Creek, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Margaret Smith Cross.
She was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church at Meadow Bridge.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Cora Lewis of Meadow Bridge; four sons, Waymon of Danese, Sheril of Meadow Bridge, Basil of Hinton and Russell of Canton, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Martha Shortland and Mrs. Eliza Hiser, both of Meadow Bridge; 13 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Don Smathers Funeral Home in East Rainelle with Reverend Georgia Keller in charge. Burial will be in the Ennis Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after noon today.
