My Ancestor Marcus is the son of Dr. Amos and Sabria (Sabra) French. He is the brother of my great grandmother Frances "Fannie" Amanda French JOHNSON. He is the third of seven children.

Marcus L French Pennsylvania; enlisted Co. D Aug 11, 1861 as a Sergeant, promoted to full 2nd Lieut Nov 15, 1861, transferred Apr 2, 1862 from Co. D to Co. E; promoted to full Capt Apr 2, 1862 (Co. E). Resigned on Feb 10, 1863.
