William Carlton Browning, 68, of Clintonville Road-Route 4 Paris, died Friday evening at the University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Medical Center following an illness of several weeks. A native of Bourbon County, he was the son of the late Charles W. and Nellie Tobin Browning. He was a building contractor.
Survivors include his wife, Stella Mae Wells Browning, Bourbon County; two daughters, Mrs. Art (Betty Jo) Gibson, Winchester; Mrs. Ronnie (Gail) Whaley, Paris; two sons, James Carlton Browning and Gary Lynn Browning, Lexington; five sisters, Mrs. Chester (Maude) Schewe, St. Louis, Missouri; Mrs. Carrie Franklin, Mrs. Bill (Martha Jane) Vaughn, Mrs. Bob (Helen) See and Mrs. John (Ann) Etchison, one brother, George Browning, all of Anderson, IN; 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services Monday at 2 pm by Rev. Mike Young at the Lusk Funeral Home, Paris. Burial Evergreen Memory Gardens. Visitation from 4-9 pm today.
