Mrs. Josephine D'Amico
Mrs. Josephine D'Amico, mother of Gus and Charles D'Amico, died at the home of the latter on Salisbury street on Wednesday, from heart trouble aggravated by an attack of influenza. She was 76 yeas old last April and was a native of Sicily, having lived in this country 23 years. and having her home with her son Diego (Charles) for the last 17 years. Mrs. D'Amico lost her husband when she was 36 years of age and the remainder of her life was devoted to her children and grandchildren. Her health was broken 21 years ago when her youngest son. aged 18 years, died of lockjaw in Cincinnati, Ohio, after she had watched constantly at his bedside for 22 days and nights. She leaves besides her two sons, who are prominent businessmen of Meyersdale, and their families, one daughter in Italy. Funeral services were at held at 5 o'clock this afternoon. Internment in the Catholic cemetery.
