Dr. Micah Eldredge, commenced practice of medicine in Dunstable, MA in 1798, in 1818 united with the congregational Church of that place, in 1820 was chosen deacon, in 1828 moved his family to Nashua where he was elected to the same office which he held until his death.

Dr. Micah was one of the very earliest physicians in Nashua, NH and received an honorary medical doctorate degree from Dartmouth College in 1841.

His house used to be at the corner of what is now (spelled incorrectly) Eldridge Street and Main Street in Nashua NH.

His son, Melbern, had a house very nearby, according to local deeds stored in the courthouse.

Dr. Micah was (according to his daughter-in-law, Relief L. Hart, who married Dr. Micah's son, also called Micah): a large man with a dark complexion. He (Dr. Micah) often said that the reason he had so many Indians among his patients was because he looked like an Indian. His seven sons were large men, only one measuring less than 6 feet 2 inches, and none weighing less than 250 pounds.

Dr. Micah and Sally had other children, who are not buried here: Hezekiah (Find A Grave Memorial# 62335232), Sarah, Almira, Erasmus Darwin, Olney, Mary.

In 2013, a new stone replaced partially missing stone. Inscription taken from original stone eyewitnessed & documented in 1959 by direct descendant: William S. Eldredge
