John (Novacek) Newacheck Born May __, 1817 in Bohemia. I was unable to find the village, ship records, or naturalization papers for them. Baptism records of two children listed John Nowazhek of Sales, Bohemia and Maria Gring of Dunajiz, Bohemia. Another listed John Nowazhek and Maria of Davanices, Bohemia. The first child Mary was born on the ship Aug. 12, 1852 on Atlantic Ocean.
1860 census list John Novascheck, another spelling.
The move from Pa. to Ohio must of happened before the last child Rose was born in Fremont, Ohio on May 1874.
John and Marie Krenjk were married in 1850 in Bohemia. Her father was Martin Krenjk or Krenik.
There was much confusion on the spelling Novacek so the name was changed to NEW'A CHECK with accent on the NEW.

Four newspapers in Ohio listed John Novagak, a farmer near the city of Fremont, fell from a load of hay, breaking his neck and died on July 3, 1879. Another John Nowacek, a farmer on the East side. The third John Navajak, a farmer who has many friends in Allegheny City, Pa. The fourth John Nowajek, 62,residing in the Third Ward. He was a Bohemian and leaves a wife and 9 children. Two children died in Pa. NOTE: the many different spellings of their last name.

Please let me know if you find where my husband family came from in Bohemia.
