Robert Longson Jones of Eugene Oregon passed away on August 4, 1998 surrounded by his loving family. He was 72.

Jones was born January 17, 1926 in Logan Utah, to Clarence and Jenny Longson Jones. He had an older brother, Norman, and a sister Clair.

He served with the United States Navy in the Asiatic Pacific theater during World War II. Bob was aboard the USS Azurlite PY-22, and the USS Marvin H. McIntyre APA-129.

He married the Love of his life, Mayme Elizabeth Princehouse on March 27, 1955 in Parkdale Oregon. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, and his older brother Norman.

He retired after 26 years of service with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Bob always considered his "Measure of Wealth", was his own family. Bob had the patients of a saint, and always had a solution to any problem. He loved to play golf, make stained glass projects, and would travel across the entire state just to photograph old barns.
