Funeral Services for Gussie Izora Hoover, 84, are 2 p.m. Thursday at the Free Will Baptist Church here with the Rev. Tom Keylon, Bethel Free Will Baptist Church, Allen, officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Ada.
Mrs. Hoover died Monday at an Ada Hospital.
She was born Aug. 13, 1899 in Conway, Ark., to Henry Lafette and Mary Yoakum Jones and lived here and in Allen.
She was a housewife and a member of the Free Will Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary.
She married Dan Hoover Oct. 7, 1916 at Lula. He died in Ada in 1973.
Survivors include two sons, Danny Hoover, Ada, and Bill Hoover, Fresno, Calif.; six daughters, Ruby Ainsworth and Christine Barnes, both of Ada, Letha Trow, Louise Jackson and Jewel Owens, all of Stonewall, and Wanda Brown, Enid; one half-brother, Monroe Jones, Stockton, Calif.; two half-sisters, Irene Cranford, Oklahoma City and Katherine Jones, Weleetka; two sisters, Marjorie Elmore, Shafter, Calif. and Ruth Adehelem, Stockton, Calif.; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be grandsons, Elton Sliger, Mark Barnes, Jerry Brown, Tim Hoover, Steve Hoover and Carlton Gray.
