RUTH LILLIE BUFFUM was born in Los Angeles. June 3rd, 1900. She commenced singing in public at the age of five, though before she was three she could carry difficult airs easily. When she was eight years old she composed her first song it was published in sheet music - words and music as she composed it.
She commenced filling the pulpit in her early teens and became what has been considered by those who have heard her a very able preacher of the gospel.
On January 14, 1923, she was married to Mr. Guy Anderson, who is a modest but able band leader in his home town where he was converted during a great religious campaign the "Buffum Women" held there in which 355 definitely sought the Lord.
