Mildred Alma was married on December 15, 1956 to Basil Doolittle Hoeffel after a secretarial career in real estate and law with a large Chicago loop company. Her husband "Bob" was related to James Doolittle the famous aviator. Bob had real estate interests and also owned a large Ford automobile agency in Chicago. After his death she moved to Carmel, California in late 1975 and lived with her sister Rosina. (This is an excerpt from Mildred's book.)
