Kevin Lee Bloom was born in Dover, Tuscarawas County, Ohio on May 14, 1943. He was the second of three children born to Alice Mae Crawford; January 2 1918 April 29, 2008; and Erle Dallas Bloom, May 16, 1918 May 2, 2001; they were married on Oct 17, 1937 in Wood County, Ohio. Kevin's siblings were Juliann Marie 1939 and Edward Allen 1947.

Kevin graduated from Ohio University in Lancaster in 1965 with his Associates Degree in Business.
Kevin also was a Viet Nam Veteran having served from May 19, 1966 May 17, 1968 in the US Air Force, completing one tour of duty with in said country. In one of our conversations shortly before his passing he stated to me that while in Viet Nam he worked with the Military Intelligence interpreting Russian radio transmissions having learned to speak Russian while attending college.

In The late 60s after separation from military service Kevin relocated to California and stayed with his Uncle Richard Crawford's family until securing employment and residence in Los Angles. He had worked in sells and to my knowledge was last employed as an Assistant Production Manager with one of Los Angles local leading recording studios.

Kevin never married and chose to live the alternative life style with his life partner Lou Cooper. He was always polite, courteous, fun, enjoyed spending time with the family for the holidays or day trips and they were always welcomed or missed in our home.

The last year of his life was limited due to his failing health but he was able to return home to Ohio one more time in November before his passing on June 24, 1987 in a Los Angeles hospital. Kevin's remains were cremated and with the assistance of The Neptune Society, had one final voyage leaving San Pedro Harbor; a passage from Kahill Gibbron read by his brother and then sprinkled onto the Pacific Ocean.
