Catherine Louise "Kay" Ball Anthony, faithful wife, loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, beloved mother-in-law, loyal friend and dedicated churchwoman was born in Memphis, TX on March 4, 1919. She passed away into eternal life on September 1 at the age of 88, to be reunited with her husband, Charles, forever more.
Being raised in Dallas, she attended North Dallas High School when the school was actually "north" of the city. She was a high school cheerleader, which set the stage for her to become cheerleader and biggest fan of all of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She attended Butler University in Indianapolis, IN.
She was married to Charles J. Anthony for 64 and1/2 years.
She was a Brownie Leader, a Cub Scout Den Mom, and Bluebird leader. She coached her son's fourth grade YMCA football team that went undefeated. She was active in her church, both at the East Dallas Christian Church where she was a member of the Sanders Class, and most recently at Highland's Christian Church where she was a member of the Crusader's Class.
She was active and involved in many social clubs and professional organizations including C.P.A. Wives Club, P.E.O. Chapter K, P.T.A., Dallas Federation Women's Club, American Business Women's Association, The Red Hat Club, The Coronet Book Club, and several bridge clubs and other card clubs, and a volunteer at the American Red Cross.
Kay was employed at Weight Watchers for many years and traveled all over North, West, Central, and East Texas holding meetings and training lecturers.
Kay was an avid sports fan, being a loyal supporter of the Dallas Cowboys, the Mavericks, the Rangers, and the Desperados. She loved to be with people and was always the life of the party. Her love and enthusiasm for life and her keen sense of humor will certainly be missed.
