Edward F. Gordon, 66, of 409 Chestnut St., Latrobe, died Friday morning in Latrobe Area Hospital.
He was born in Latrobe July 25, 1913, the son of the late Joseph E. and Carrie (Nair) Gordon.
He was a member of Christ United Church of Christ and formerly employed by Standard Steel Co., retiring in 1976 with over 40 years of service.
He was a member of the Lions Club, FOE 01188, Cooperstown Sportsmen's Club, American Legion 40 & 8 and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Air Force.
Surviving are two brothers, J. Melvin and C. Elwood, both of Latrobe, and two sisters, Mrs. William (Dolly) Morris of Gainesville, Fla., and Miss Violet R. Gordon, at home.
Family will receive friends in the M.S. Hartman Funeral Home, Latrobe from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday.
Services will be held in the chapel of the funeral home at 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Verdon Grasmick in charge.
Military services also will be held at that time. Interment will follow in Unity Cemetery.
