Carolyn Zimmerman, 62, of Russellville, died Thursday, September 23, 2004 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. The daughter of Lester and Edna Imogene Neal Behrens, she was born December 23, 1941 in Little Rock.
She married Edwin Zimmerman, on May 11, 1962 at Lincoln, Nebraska. She was a 1975 graduate of the University of Nebraska. Carolyn was as an elementary school teacher at
Huntington Elementary School & Clinton Elementary School in Lincoln Nebraska.
She was a member of the Russellville Lion's Club, serving as a member of the board. She was also President of the River Valley Council of the Blind and a member of the Board of the Arkansas State Council for the Blind. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Lester, Jr. and Wayne Behrens.
Survivors include her husband, Edwin Zimmerman of Russellville; five sons, Edwin Zimmerman, Jr. and Rhonda of Van Buren, Mark A. Zimmerman and Marie of Leigh,
David A. Zimmerman Sr. and Donna of Virginia Beach, Jeffrey Zimmerman and Lisa of Humphrey, Mike Zimmerman, Sr. and Becky of Danville; 14 grandchildren, Travis, Matthew, Tracy, Eric, Amber, Amanda, Andrea, Timothy, Treyton, Mike Jr., Kelly, Candy, David Allen Jr., Tyler; a brother, Allen Behrens of Lincoln; a sister, Peggy Lemon of Lincoln.
Funeral will be at 10 am Monday, September 27, 2004 at St. John's Lutheran Church. Rev. Darrell Kobs will officiate. Burial will be at Pisgah Cemetery at Pottsville by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
