d/o John Andrew Anderson & Sarah Olivia Leggett

Raised her 2 Nieces, Florence & Essie Burnham. Their mother Lula died when Essie was 6 mos. old from Tuberculosis.

Annie died at the age of 93 in Oxford, Granville County, North Carolina at a local nursing home.

Aunt A grew flowers all around her house. She grew all types of flowers of every color and shape. There were sweet pea flowers growing on a trellis that were from seeds her father had brought with him on his voyage from Sweeden to America.
Annie Amanda Anderson was called Aunt A by everyone. Aunt A was married. No one ever knew this. I found the marriage record while doing the Anderson genealogy. This came as quite a shock! I assume they were divorced as I found another marriage for her husband.

Aunt A took care of her brother John aka Uncle John. after his stroke. She waited on him hand and foot. Caring for people seems to have been the theme of Aunt A's life.

Their father immigrated from Sweden to America after the Civil War. I have not yet been able to find where he is buried.

The niece "Essie" that Aunt A raised was called "Teenie".When Aunt A's health began to decline
Teenie took Aunt A into her home and cared for her.
