William Alexander Crowder,73, who had been a resident of the Fries community for many years, died in the Pulaski hospital at 4:00 p. m. Sunday,March 6. Mr. Crowder had been in ill health for a few years, but was hospitalized only Saturday preceding his passing. He resided
in the North Fries section.
The deceased, who was a son of the late Matt Crowder, is survived by the widow, Mrs. Rosa Belle Stoots Crowder three daughters, Mrs. Maggie Akers, Mrs. Josie Spears and Mrs. Effie Mae Gravely, all of Fries, and several grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Mt. Olivet Methodist church on the Fries circuit Wednesday at 2:00 p. m. The services were conducted by the Rev. Eugene Dixon, pastor of the church the Rev. Lonnie P. Shaw, pastor of North Fries Tabernacle, and the Rev. Jesse Roop, pastor, of
Grace Baptist church, North Fries. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
