Services for Dorothy A. Peters, 66, 712 S. Calumet St., will be at 10a.m. Friday at Ellers Mortuary, with the Rev. Harold E. Bardsley officiating. Burial will be at Crown Point Cemetery. Calling at the mortuary will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
Mrs. Peters died at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital at 10:40 p.m. Monday, Aug. 1, 1983, following a brief illness.
Born in Greentown Aug. 25, 1916, she was the daughter of Tence and Susie (Wolfe) Swisher. She was married Feb. 5, 1949, to Ernest Peters who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Cleo Shively of Herbst; two daughters, Carolyn Little of Kokomo and Joyce Houston of Logansport. A brother, Merle Swisher of Greentown; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A brother preceded her in death.
She worked on the assembly line at Delco Electronics Division for 23 years and retired in 1978. She was a member of the United Auto Workers of America union.
