Born in Monroe County, she was a daughter of the late Homer and Lucindy (Crawford) Parsley.
Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Patricia Barlow, Smiths Grove and Karon and Gary Dockery and Janet and Robbie Freeman, all of Bowling Green; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Kenneth Strode, Smiths Grove, and Darrell and Donna Strode, Alvaton; a sister, Nancy Proffitt, Gamaliel; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Four sisters, Clarice Howard, Corinn Bartley, Lina Kingary and Mildred York and four brothers, Nora Frankin, and Junior, James Franklin and Joe Parsley, all preceded her in death.
Burial was at the Beautiful Home Cemetery.
