THURMON CARVER, 77, of 2657 Home Orchard Drive, died Thursday, June 18, at 10:00 p.m. in his residence. He was born in Muhlenburg County, Kentucky on September 15, 1914 the son of Van and Beulah (Pearson) Carver. He has been a Springfield area resident for over 37 years, a veteran of the United States Navy having served during World War 11, and retired in 1972 with over 30 years of government service working as an aircraft electrician at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Ruby Mitchell and Thelma Strain; two brothers Elgin and R.F. Carver.
Friends may call at the Jackson Lytle & Ingling Williams Funeral Home, North Limestone Chapel, Sunday from 3 until 6 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with Reverend Gordon Johnson, pastor of London First Presbyterina Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Range Twonship Cemetery, Sedalia, Ohio.
