The death of Fred C. Fuller, a well known and highly respected resident of this village, occurred at his home on North street, Saturday evening, March 1st, at 8 o'clock, of uremic poisoning, after a long illness. Seven years ago he underwent an operation and had one kidney removed and he never fully recovered from the operation and had been for some time. His last critical illness was of two weeks' duration.
Mr. Fuller was born at Mt. Vision, March 10th, 1875, the son of the late Charles and Evaline (Robinson) Fuller. He married on December 29th, 1897, Miss Flora Manley of Hartwick and she with five children, Byron L., Mildred, E. Janette, Guida and Achsah, survive him. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Byron L. Platt of Oneonta and one brother, George A. Fuller of Hartwick, and several nephews and nieces.
On the death of Mr. Fuller Hartwick loses a splendid, upright citizen. He was a loving husband and father, kind neighbor and friend and will be greatly missed in the community where he has so long resided. The sympathy of all is extended to the bereaved family in their deep affliction.
The funeral service, which was largely attended, were held from his late home on Tuesday afternoon, at 2 o'clock, the Rev. Sydney H. Boys of the Methodist Episcopal church officiating, taking as his text; "God is our Refuge and Strength," Ps. 46:1. The preacher urged the constancy and sufficiency of the divine resources and the assurance of the final triumph of those who put their trust in Him.
The body was placed in the vault for burial later in the Hartwick cemetery.
