Arthur E. Andrade Jr., 81 died January 22, 2013. He was the son of the late Mable E. Hackett and Arthur E. Andrade Sr.
Arthur proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War conflict. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart, Bronze Star as well as an award for marksmanship.
He was predeceased by Augie (Black) Andrade his wife as well as two brothers, Frank (Tangie) Andrade, Chris Andrade and his sister Charlene Butler.
He was the former husband of Nancy R. Andrade, and father of Manuel J. Andrade of Plymouth who survive him as well as three other children, 6 grandchildren and one great granddaughter all of East Falmouth.. He also leaves his brother Arnold Andrade and two sisters, Nellie Rosardo and Barbara Gomes of New Bedford, as well as his aunt Francis Fortes of Florida and Dominga Andrade of Falmouth as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be Thursday February 7, 2013 from 3-7pm at the Doane Beal & Ames Funeral Home 160 W. Main St. Hyannis, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday February 8, 2013 at 11am at St. Francis Xavier Church, South St. Hyannis. Interment will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
