Mrs. C. Bemis Rites Thursday

Mrs. Charles V. Bemis, well known resident of Milo township passed away Sunday, June 1 at the St. Cloud Hospital at the age of 57.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 5 at 2:00 pm., from the Sharon Lutheran Church with Rev. James Stjernstjrom officiating. Interment will be in the Milo Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Norman and Eldon Johnson; Kenneth, Bud, Clifford and Alden Bemis.
Helen C. Johnson was born on July 16, 1911 in Greenbush township, Mille Lacs County. She attended the Princeton schools and graduated from Princeton High School in 1927.
She taught school in the Hayland area prior to her marriage to Charles V. Bemis in October of 1932. She had spent most of her married life in Milo Township. She is survived y 5 children: Marian of Foreston, James of Milaca, William of Lynd and Curtis and Steven at home; 7 grandchildren; 1 brother, Alex Johnson of rural Princeton and 2 sisters: Mrs. Henry Kantola and Mrs. O.L. Bacon, both of Minneapolis
