FULTON – Harold Kilgore, 78, died Monday, June 16, 2008, at The Courtyards Nursing Home in Fulton. He was born March 12, 1930, in Big Creek to Edd Gaston and Mary Lou Walton Kilgore. He worked construction for 50 years and retired from Hayes Construction. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church, where he had been a Sunday School teacher. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict. He was an avid hunter.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Senter Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jason Watts and Bro. Robert Humphres officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Sarah Harbin Kilgore of Fulton; one daughter, Joyce Mackey (David) of Fulton; three sons, Mike Kilgore (Mendy), Eddie Kilgore (Debbie) and Jesse Kilgore (Pam), all of Fulton; 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bessie K. Weeks of Calhoun and Ruth Efnor of Memphis; one brother, William Thomas Kilgore of Calhoun.
He was preceded in death by a son, Richard Kilgore; a stepson, Guy L. Blakely; a great-grandson, Zackery Thunder Mackey; and his twin brother, Howard Kilgore.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Mackey, Kevin Mackey, Chris Kilgore, Jerry Kilgore, Michael Kilgore, Jason Kilgore, Jerry Kilgore, Richard Kilgore and Jamie Kilgore.
