J. WILKES WOOLMAN was born in Linn County, Iowa, April 29, l869 and departed this life at Apache, Oklahoma, on July 6, l909, after four days illness with fever and congestive chills, being 40 years, 3 months and l7 days old.
He was married to MISS MINNIE BEAVERS at Woodland, Iowa, on December ll, l895. To this union five children were born, four girls and one boy, EREMA, ELIZABETH, IONE, MARCELLA, AUDREY VIVIAN. NEIL SANFORD and ENID, the youngest dying in infancy.
Besides the wife and children he leaves an aged father, his mother passed away ten years ago, two sisters and three brothers, one brother and sister attending the funeral, the others were unable to attend on account of ill health and distance.
MR. WOOLMAN was a member of the Knights of Pythias, and the Brotherhood of American Yeoman, carrying a policy for $l,000 in the latter. The orders at Apache assisted in the departure for Woodland where funeral services were conducted Sunday at ll o'clock at the M.E. Church by Rev. Weatherford, of Lineville. Interment in Lentz Cemetery.
