Ethel Wease Edwards early years are a mystery to me so I am writing this bio in hopes that someone will read this and be able to help sort out the early years of my grandmother. Ethel was born 6 Dec 1887 in Verona, Augusta, Virginia; based on death records and Census records. The Certificate of Death lists her parents as William Wease and Ellen Wease.
According to marriage records William S. Wease and Ella Milstead were married 9 Mar 1898, 11 years after Ethel's birth.
The 1900 census notes that William and Mary E. have been married 2 years with 3/3 children living; but does not list any children. Cannot find Ethel in 1900 census.
The 1910 census for the most part confirms info from the 1900 census adding this was 2nd marriage for William and 1st for Ellen.
By the 1940 census Ethel is married and her widowed mother Mary E. Wease is living with Ethel and family.
So, who are her parents and where is she in the 1900 census?
