John Robert Quinn (whom this Find a Grave memorial honors) was born 2 February 1759 in New Jersey....and died in 1840...shortly after the Delaware County, Indiana 1840 Census. He was the son of John Quin/Quinn Sr, an Irish immigrant, and Ann (Crooks) Quinn.
John married Mary Tapper in Warren County, Georgia, on 11 July 1805. Not much is known about Mary...except for the fact that she was supposedly much younger than her husband John...and that she and John were the parents of at least nine children.
Born in New Jersey, John migrated to Georgia with his brothers sometime during the 1780's. Eventually, John left Georgia for Preble County, OH, where he remained with his family for several years. He served as a Justice of the Peace for Twin Township in the Preble County area.
During the latter years of his life, John moved to Yorktown in Delaware County, Indiana...where he spent the remainder of his days.
